Chlorophyll in Water - WS proficiency testing material is produced in accordance with ISO/IEC 17043:2010. Preparation Note

Description This PT sample is packaged as a 1.2 mL concentrate. The solvent for this sample is acetone. The PT sample is not preserved. The sample must be stored at -20 ºC.Sample Preparation To prepare the solution, partially fill a 100 mL volumetric flask with aqueous acetone solution. Open ampule PE1311-1.2ML (be careful to avoid cuts on glass) and immediately withdraw 1.0 mL using a class A pipette. Quickly inject the 1.0 mL aliquot into the aqueous acetone solution in the expanded area of the volumetric flask. Bring the flask to volume with acetone. Mix the sample by inverting the flask. This represents the sample for analysis. Do not perform any additional extraction. Aqueous acetone solution is defined in "Standard Method for the Examination of Water and Wastewater - Method 10200 H".
